Orientation Workshop on Leadership

The Leadership Workshop was held under iRISE on October 10, 2022, at IISER Pune for STEM Early Career Researchers (Ph.D. students) in collaboration with CSIR-NCL. Total number of participants were 20 where 60 % were male and 40 % female.

In the workshop leadership styles, motivation, functions, types, theories, cross-functional leadership, communication, aspects of resource management, planning, the importance of team morale, and collaborative leadership were touched upon. The issues such as Achievement, Affiliation, and Power motives of leaders, and whether leaders are born or they can be made were discussed at length. Various activities such as group discussions, debates, personality tests, and presentations by participants were held during the session. STEM Ph.D. students.
