Capacity Building Workshop for Early Career Researchers @ Savitribai Phule Pune University

iRISE Early Career Researcher Development Strand, in collaboration with the Department of Microbiology, Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), organized a 3-Day Capacity Building Workshop for Early Career Researchers at SPPU from 14th - 16th February 2024. This 3-day workshop aims to enhance the workplace readiness of early career researchers in the fields of academia, industry, and entrepreneurship. It encompassed practical skill-development sessions tailored to each theme, featuring introductory sessions, hands-on activities, and interactive engagements with esteemed leaders from academia and industry. A total of 68 early career researchers (Male: 25, Females: 47) from various disciplines participated in the workshop. Sessions were delivered on the following three themes, spread across three days. 

THEME 1 (Industry) - Industry readiness: Strengthening Personal and Professional Capacities

THEME 2 (Academia) - Power of Effective Communication in Research and Education

THEME 3 (Entrepreneurship) - The Basics of Scientific Entrepreneurship: Crafting a Roadmap from Idea to Enterprise.
