Reflecting on the first day of the iRISE - Inspiring India in Research, Innovation and STEM Education Programme 10-Day Teacher Development Workshop

Here's a glimpse of the enriching sessions and activities:

Pradnya Pujari led a session on the importance of reflection practices in professional development, providing tools and strategies for educators to self-assess and refine their teaching methods.

Dr. Chaitanya Mungi's engaging session explored "Innovation: Critical Thinking." He equipped teachers with techniques for creative ideation, conversion and diversion thinking, 7i model for ideation.

Surbhi Pandya led a hands-on "Micro Ecosystem Activity." Teachers constructed miniature ecosystems within small containers, fostering a sense of wonder and observation that will continue throughout the workshop. Over the next ten days, they'll monitor these microcosms and use them to spark curiosity in their students.

The iRISE team, including Jahida Shaikh, Aparna Date, Sujeet Gonda, Rohit Kadam, Pankaj Yadav and Nishant Singhania, provided a comprehensive tour of the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Pune campus.

This interactive and immersive program promises to be a valuable experience for all participants. We're excited to see the learning and innovation unfold as the workshop progresses!
