Capacity Building Workshop for Early Career Researchers- "Level 2"
IISER Pune (October 15 - 24th, 2024)

A 10-day Level 2 Capacity Building Workshop for Early Career Researchers (ECRs) was organized under the iRISE program from October 15–24, 2024, at IISER Pune.

The workshop was designed to strengthen the employability skills of early career researchers through a series of interactive sessions. These sessions covered scientific writing, data management, effective communication, innovation, entrepreneurship, intellectual property, and the future of R&D.

The desired outcome of the program was to provide participants with opportunities to broaden their professional skill sets, thereby complementing their academic training. By equipping them with key competencies, the workshop aimed to nurture well-rounded researchers capable of excelling in a variety of professional environments.

A total of 32 participants (Male: 14, Female: 18) took part in the program. They represented diverse disciplines and came from leading institutions including:

• GITAM (Deemed to be University), Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh
• University of Calicut, Malappuram, Kerala
